Arrogance and Racism

Arrogance and racism. In the 'First Family', it seems we, the American people, are 'blessed' with both.

Deny or challenge anything Barack Hussein Obama wants or does and YOU are a racist (it doesn't matter that the 'First Lady' has a history of anti-white sentiment).

Just a quick thought in the subject.

Late posting...

Now that Barack Hussein Obama is sitting in the Oval Office, it is sad to see what is considered to be 'acceptable' at one time is now considered 'unacceptable'. To wit:

Acceptable:
Not Acceptable:
Why? Simply because of skin color?

It's ok to make direct fun of former President Bush with monkey faces. But print a cartoon making a political statement with a chimp in it and a political piece of legislation under Barack Hussein Obama and all of a sudden, it's a racist issue.

I repeat: Why? Simply because of skin color?

The left always seems quick to point an accusatory finger...but never at themselves.

Pavlovian Responses Needed

I watched some of the congressional hearings (sorry - pompous pontificating inquisitions) of various industry CEOs. Not wanting to get into whether or not the CEOs deserved it, I do feel there should be a quid pro quo exchange. If the elitist Congressmen want to publicly persecute these people, fine, go for it. But, fair is fair.

What I would like see is the CEOs, with all the respect the congressional hearings deserve, respond politely and as honestly as possible.

Then, at some point in these hearing, each CEO extract from his folder a single sheet of bright red paper and place it on the table.

At the end of the hearing, each CEO then asks the committee chair for the right to speak. Once granted, the CEO picks up the red sheet of paper and reads off each committee member's name, the donations made to that committee member's previous elections/favorite charities/etc., and perks given to that member and/or his family. Also identify any donations refused or returned, or not, by the respective committee member.

Maybe these committee hearings might be more productive than just a political platform for these congressmen to beat their chests and come off as some kind of bad-asses.

It would be interesting to watch the Congressmen's faces in the future every time a piece of red paper is placed in front of the object of the committee hearing.Fair is fair.

Writing to my Congressmen

On 26 Feb 2009, I wrote to one of my senators and my newly elected representative, both Democrats:

"Sir,

I am writing to you as a concerned citizen. I have watched with great concern the legislation coming out of the Congress and the White House, specifically:

-the 'stimulus package' (American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, became Public Law No: 111-5),
-SCHIP (Children's Health Insurance Program Reauthorization Act of 2009, became Public Law No: 111-3), and
-the current omnibus bill (Omnibus Appropriations Act, 2009)

My simple YES/NO questions to you, as my elected official, elected to represent and protect the interests of your constituents, are as follows:

1. YES/NO Did YOU read the Children's Health Insurance Program Reauthorization Act of 2009 BEFORE voting on it?

2. YES/NO Did YOU read American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 BEFORE voting on it?

3. YES/NO Will YOU be reading the Omnibus Appropriations Act, 2009 BEFORE voting on it?

4. YES/NO Did ANY of your staff read the Children's Health Insurance Program Reauthorization Act of 2009, in it's entirety, BEFORE you voted on it?

5. YES/NO Did ANY of your staff read the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, in it's entirety, BEFORE you voted on it?

6. YES/NO Will ANY of your staff read the Omnibus Appropriations Act, 2009, in it's entirety, BEFORE you vote on it?

The reason I ask is a number of news outlets have indicated legislation is being passed without it being read by ELECTED officials!! Referencing the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 specifically, the news media stated NOT ONE ELECTED OFFICIAL read it before voting on it!! And I am just curious to understand how that could possibly be, since these bills, especially these bills, represent huge expenditures of TAXPAYER funds and, as such, should be gone through with a fine-toothed comb to ensure proper protection of TAXPAYER dollars.

Please note: I do post/blog on the internet. I will be posting this request of you and my other elected officials. I will also post the responses received OR not received.

Thank you for your time. Look forward to your responses. "

It is now 5 Mar 2009, one week, and I haven't heard one word from either of my Democratic Congressmen. I even made it simple: all they had to do was write YES or NO, underline or circle one or the other. Not difficult. Or at least "I" didn't think so.
