Subtlety - Redefined

Subtlety: The quality of being difficult to detect or analyze.

A new Homeland Security report has surfaced addressing the rise/threat of right-wing extremists. It is all over the news [well, in some news agencies, anyway], so you can go look it up yourself.

But here is my point: it is beginning to look like ANY comment that just might be against the Government
policies and programs and/or Barack Hussein Obama may well put you on someone's anti-government list. You may be an extremist!

Are you
pro-life?

Are you anti-illegal immigration?

Do you believe in the 1st Amendment and that you have a RIGHT to express your support, or more importantly, your non-support, of overly invasive government policies and programs? Or criticize Barack Hussein Obama?

Do you voice your opinion against government policies or officials?

Do you support the 2nd Amendment and the right to bear arms?

Do you support the 10th Amendment and believe in a
less intrusive federal government [rejecting federal authority in favor of state or local authority]?

Are you against bigger, stronger federal government?

Do you feel the federal government is slowly squashing individual rights?

Against corrupt politicians? Feel like your elected officials might be less than honorable? [Of course, one must keep in mind WE elected these people! But that isn't the point here.]

Are you religious? [Or, more accurately, are you a Christian?]

Have you lost your home? Your car? Your credit? Your job?

Are you against
affirmative action programs, instead thinking a person should advance based on THEIR skills, education, etc., and not some government-mandated quota?

Do you display signs, bumber stickers, etc., like "Don't Tread On Me" or "Molon Labe"?

Are you a veteran?

If any of these describe you, then YOU may well be a right-wing extremist -according to a new Homeland Security report. Your government here to keep you safe.

Now back to my first line: subtlety.

By virtue of the above 'designations', it seems the government has found a way to start suppressing dissent. If you express any sentiment other than the 'approved' government position, then you just might be an extremist. Since most people do not like being labeled as an 'extremist', this type report paints, with very broad strokes, a lot of people IF those people disagree with the government position. Or Barack Hussein Obama.

What appears to be a 'report' on extremists actually sets the groundwork for the government to suppress anyone it feels as a threat. A most subtle way of controlling the populace, in my opinion.

Keep in mind, this report is the UNCLASSIFIED version....imagine what the classified report must contain.

[It should be noted, in an effort to show impartiality, this report follows on the heels of a previous report on left-wing extremists. Oh, and both reports were supposedly initiated under President Bush's administration, so the current administration can continue to NOT be held accountable for anything.]

Updated Comment on Obama's Submissiveness to Saudi Arabia

There has been a lot of discussion over Barack Hussein Obama's bowing to the Dictator of Saudi Arabia. The media/liberals/Democrats are quick to point out President Bush's holding hands with the dictator, etc.

Well, let me give you my take on this. President Bush may have held hands and all [hell, I don't even care if he kissed the dictator on his lips], but he didn't bow in submission to him.

Integrity - Where has it gone?

Integrity - it seems to be losing ground in the media even faster than I ever imagined.

Take the issue of whether Barack Hussein Obama bowed to Dictator Abdullah of Saudi Arabia [you can see the video below in a previous blog entry].

Look at it closely. Look for several things:

First, when Barack Hussein Obama started bowing to shake hands, how many hands did he extend to grasp that of Dictator Abdullah?

Second, as Barack Hussein Obama is bowing, can you see his LEFT hand? Where is it located?

Third, at what point did Barack Hussein Obama use two hands to grasp Dictator Abdullah's hand?

Fourth, was Dictator Abdullah standing or sitting throughout this exchange?

Fifth, notice the style of Barack Hussein Obama's bow: one leg back, the other slightly bent at the knee.

These points are relevant because it brings up an integrity issue. Now, I realize there are many reporters with many different perspectives on issues. I got that. But what I am concerned about is something I heard on a FOX show.

See video of the show here: Fox News: Picture Imperfect

Now listen to Kristen Powers' comments. She is a Democratic strategist and frequent contributor on FOX News. Two things stand out.

One, she specifically states that Barack Hussein Obama is NOT bowing.

Two, she goes even further, later in the show, and unequivocally states that Dictator Abdullah is sitting!

So, I ask you: Where is Ms Powers' integrity? Did she see a totally different video of the interaction between Barack Hussein Obama and Dictator Abdullah? If she did, I would like to view that one.

However, if she watched the same video included in the FOX show, how can she make those two statements? Is maintaining the party line now more important than integrity?

By her comments, it must be.

"... Provocative ..."

Well, North Korea launched its missile...just like it said it would.

And Barack Hussein Obama's response? "... provocative ..."

WOW!! That pushed Kim Jong Il up against the wall, didn't it? Defy the United States again, will you!?

If North Korea steps out of line again, maybe Barack Hussein Obama will order Kim Jong Il to "Stop it!"

Or, just an after thought, maybe Kim Jong Il is upset that Barack Hussein Obama wasn't adequately submissive to him, you know, like Barack Hussein Obama was to Dictator Abdullah. I mean, if I was a world-class tyrant, and the POTUS had not shown proper subservience to me, I would be upset.

Just Wondering ...

Given Michelle Obama’s stated attitude about white people…I just wonder how she feels about having to kiss all those white people in Europe?

Or is it just AMERICAN white people she doesn’t like?

Barack Hussein Obama = Subservience = Submission

Bowing - a FULL bow from the waist - to Dictator Abdullah of Saudi Arabia!!

Hat tip to: CQblogger

I do hope this Dictator Abdullah understands the bow was from Barack Hussein Obama and does NOT represent how 'I' think an American President is supposed to behave.

The shame. The humiliation.

Arrogant America!!??

So Barack Hussein Obama thinks the United States is arrogant? How dare him!! This is supposed to be the President of MY country!?

I find it sad, embarrassing, and humiliating to have this … person … be called the President of the United States.

This will have to be a short post … just the thought of this individual causes my blood pressure to rise and I promised myself I would not resort to cursing, name-calling, etc., to get a point across. So I have to cut this short – sometimes the less said is best.

As far as I’m concerned, this country is leaderless.

Referencing the The Cybersecurity Act of 2009 [introduced by Senators John Rockefeller (D-WV) and Olympia Snowe (R-ME)]:

Where are the liberals and Democrats who screamed about the invasion of MY privacy under some of former President Bush’s policies? The silence is deafening!!

Under the Patriot Act, many on the left screamed about an invasion of personal privacy. Now, nothing. Surprise there.

I Am Perplexed

Having read and heard about the stimulus bill, blah, blah, blah, I am very perplexed about something.

The stimulus package is supposed to be (as its proponents would have you believe) primarily for roads, bridges, infrastructure, etc. [I won’t go into what the other 95% is really for at this time]. And is to help states, counties, and cities with their budgeting shortfalls.

Simple question: If the Feds and the states, et al, have, over the years, budgeted for infrastructure issues and have collected revenues for the same, how is it that all of a sudden all of these government entities are in the red?

What have they been doing with the funds all these years? I’m sure at least one or two states/counties/cities used the money for some infrastructure issues. Haven’t they?

If they have, then why do the taxpayers have to put even more money into the pot? If they have not, then where did the money go?

From the U.S. Secretary of Mis-statement

Well. Mrs. Hillary Clinton, Secretary of Mis-statement, once again is 'representing' the United States in a foreign country. This time, she is blaming the United States for Mexico's drug and weapons problems, to wit:

MEXICO CITY (Reuters) - U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said on Wednesday that an "insatiable" appetite in the United States for illegal drugs was to blame for much of the violence plaguing Mexico.

"We are. How could anybody conclude any differently?" Clinton told reporters in response to a question during a flight to Mexico for a two-day visit likely to be dominated by a drug war that killed 6,300 people in Mexico last year.

[...]

"Our insatiable demand for illegal drugs fuels the drug trade. Our inability to prevent weapons from being illegally smuggled across the border to arm these criminals causes the death of police officers, soldiers and civilians," Clinton said. "I feel very strongly we have a co-responsibility."

[...]

Is there ANY Democrat in this country that feels the United States is NOT at fault for every god-damned thing wrong in the world?

I did not like this woman's husband; I do not like this woman. Both seem to relish blaming MY country for the world's ills.

Lastly, this sounds like the serious beginning of gun control (using the weapons into Mexico as the vehicle to carry the message). Wrong, Mrs. Hillary Clinton. There has not been any proof that weapons of any significant quantity are crossing the border from the U.S. into Mexico.

As much as I've refrained from lowering my standards to gutter sniping, in this case I just have to say to Mrs. Hillary Clinton, Secretary of Mis-statement - Piss Off!

Veterans and Barack Hussein Obama

This post will be short.

The simple fact that Barack Hussein Obama even considered wanting to require private insurance carriers to reimburse the VA for the treatment of U.S. servicemen injured in service speaks volumes in and of itself.

Luckily, but ONLY after a public uproar, Barack Hussein Obama back off this insane idea.

THIS is a Commander-in-Chief? I hope those Veterans who support(ed) Barack Hussein Obama are proud of their choice - especially when they pass a wounded Veteran on the street. [Just curious: will you tell that Vet you support Barack Hussein Obama?]

Destruction of the Constitution

The Constitution of the United States, Article I, Section 9, paragraph 3 provides that: "No Bill of Attainder or ex post facto Law will be passed."

Bill of Attainer - Defined as a legislative act that singles out an individual or group for punishment without a trial.

An ex post facto law is a law passed after the occurrence of an event or action which retrospectively changes the legal consequences of the event or action.

-------

So. It seems the Congress, in its effort to reach out and touch someone, wants to now violate the Constitution.

When the stimulus bill was passed by the current (read: Democratic-controlled) Congress and signed by Barack Hussein Obama (read: Democratic), it contained a provision to specifically exclude executive bonuses included in contracts signed prior to the bill. This issue involved that up-standing, conscientious public servant Christopher Dodd (D-CT) .... who now claims he was 'forced by Treasury officials' (read: the Administration). Of course, this was AFTER he said he had nothing to do with this.

Now, after the horses have already left the barn, Congress and Barack Hussein Obama now want to go after AIG, and other corporations who receive 'public assistance', who pay bonuses paid under pre-existing contractual agreements.

Although I am not a lawyer or politician (I have more pride than that), I thought the Constitution already prohibited the passage of such legislation (see Bill of Attainer and ex post facto above).

Then again, I expect nothing less than this continued assault on our Constitution by this Congress and Barack Hussein Obama (read: Democrats).

As an end note: part of the original T.A.R.P legislation was based on the argument that some folks managed to get in over their heads with mortgages because they did not read and/or understand the mortgage contracts. Now we have a Congress, responding to Barack Hussein Obama's 'hurry up and do this' initiative, pass a stimulus bill that, guess what, none of our Congressmen even read!! Why do we keep going in the same circles?

Change? Hope?

Hope and Change. Barack Hussein Obama's big mantra all throughout his campaign.

One of my problems with the change part is Barack Hussein Obama's (and to be honest, as he stated he would do) 'reaching out' to those in the world who do not like the United States.

So far, Barack Hussein Obama has extended a friendly outreach to: the Taliban, Syria, Russia, Iran, North Korea, China, and whatever the current political group is running around in the Palestinian area.

I wonder if Barack Hussein Obama's efforts will be as barren as ex-presidents Carter and Clinton. Or, as with them, will this country once again be on the receiving end of anal sex without even a reach around?

Some change! Some hope!

Great Orator?

It seems as though every time someone in the media (yes, including FOX News and its contributors) talks about Barack Hussein Obama, they feel obligated to make reference to his "great" oratory skills.

Let me add my voice.

From everything I have seen or heard from this individual, two things stand out when it comes to his speaking skills:

1. When giving a prepared speech, all I hear is someone who reads well (can we all say teleprompter).

2. When giving off-the-cuff speeches, this individual sounds, umm, uh, umm semi-literate.

Suffice it to say, I do NOT think Barack Hussein Obama is a 'great' orator; at best, he can read well.

Arrogance and racism. In the 'First Family', it seems we, the American people, are 'blessed' with both.

Deny or challenge anything Barack Hussein Obama wants or does and YOU are a racist (it doesn't matter that the 'First Lady' has a history of anti-white sentiment).

Late posting...

Now that Barack Hussein Obama is sitting in the Oval Office, it is sad to see what is considered to be 'acceptable' at one time is now considered 'unacceptable'. To wit:

Acceptable:
Not Acceptable:
Why? Simply because of skin color?

It's ok to make direct fun of former President Bush with monkey faces. But print a cartoon making a political statement with a chimp in it and a political piece of legislation under Barack Hussein Obama and all of a sudden, it's a racist issue.

I repeat: Why? Simply because of skin color?

The left always seems quick to point an accusatory finger...but never at themselves.

Pavlovian Responses Needed

I watched some of the congressional hearings (sorry - pompous pontificating inquisitions) of various industry CEOs. Not wanting to get into whether or not the CEOs deserved it, I do feel there should be a quid pro quo exchange. If the elitist Congressmen want to publicly persecute these people, fine, go for it. But, fair is fair.

What I would like see is the CEOs, with all the respect the congressional hearings deserve, respond politely and as honestly as possible.

Then, at some point in these hearing, each CEO extract from his folder a single sheet of bright red paper and place it on the table.

At the end of the hearing, each CEO then asks the committee chair for the right to speak. Once granted, the CEO picks up the red sheet of paper and reads off each committee member's name, the donations made to that committee member's previous elections/favorite charities/etc., and perks given to that member and/or his family. Also identify any donations refused or returned, or not, by the respective committee member.

Maybe these committee hearings might be more productive than just a political platform for these congressmen to beat their chests and come off as some kind of bad-asses.

It would be interesting to watch the Congressmen's faces in the future every time a piece of red paper is placed in front of the object of the committee hearing.Fair is fair.

Writing to my Congressmen

On 26 Feb 2009, I wrote to one of my senators and my newly elected representative, both Democrats:

"Sir,

I am writing to you as a concerned citizen. I have watched with great concern the legislation coming out of the Congress and the White House, specifically:

-the 'stimulus package' (American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, became Public Law No: 111-5),
-SCHIP (Children's Health Insurance Program Reauthorization Act of 2009, became Public Law No: 111-3), and
-the current omnibus bill (Omnibus Appropriations Act, 2009)

My simple YES/NO questions to you, as my elected official, elected to represent and protect the interests of your constituents, are as follows:

1. YES/NO Did YOU read the Children's Health Insurance Program Reauthorization Act of 2009 BEFORE voting on it?

2. YES/NO Did YOU read American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 BEFORE voting on it?

3. YES/NO Will YOU be reading the Omnibus Appropriations Act, 2009 BEFORE voting on it?

4. YES/NO Did ANY of your staff read the Children's Health Insurance Program Reauthorization Act of 2009, in it's entirety, BEFORE you voted on it?

5. YES/NO Did ANY of your staff read the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, in it's entirety, BEFORE you voted on it?

6. YES/NO Will ANY of your staff read the Omnibus Appropriations Act, 2009, in it's entirety, BEFORE you vote on it?

The reason I ask is a number of news outlets have indicated legislation is being passed without it being read by ELECTED officials!! Referencing the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 specifically, the news media stated NOT ONE ELECTED OFFICIAL read it before voting on it!! And I am just curious to understand how that could possibly be, since these bills, especially these bills, represent huge expenditures of TAXPAYER funds and, as such, should be gone through with a fine-toothed comb to ensure proper protection of TAXPAYER dollars.

Please note: I do post/blog on the internet. I will be posting this request of you and my other elected officials. I will also post the responses received OR not received.

Thank you for your time. Look forward to your responses. "

It is now 5 Mar 2009, one week, and I haven't heard one word from either of my Democratic Congressmen. I even made it simple: all they had to do was write YES or NO, underline or circle one or the other. Not difficult. Or at least "I" didn't think so.
