Prior to the November 2006 Congressional elections, I remember the Democrats blaming the Republican-controlled Congress for the high gas prices at the pump, suggesting the Republicans controlled gas prices and/or were gouging the public.
Well, the elections are over and it is now May 2007. And the gas prices are not only at the pre-Nov 2006 levels but are projected to hit $4 soon.
My question to the Democratically-controlled Congress: You harped about high prices before the election, now explain to me why YOU, the Democrats, aren't controlling prices at the pump now?
Still haven't received an answer from my Democratic senator. Surprise there!
